PRASA National Signalling Upgrade
The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa has commissioned Siemens to implement new world-class rail signalling systems and track upgrades on the Johannesburg and Pretoria rail passenger networks. The €180 million railway signalling project will control railway traffic and allowing an increase in the number of passengers that are safely transported every day by rail in Gauteng.
Project offices are established at stations with each office logging daily site diaries on C-COM Lite for work done in the surrounding area. Rate of productivity is measured via the site diaries.
