08 July 2008: Siemens implements Contract Communicator

Contract Communicator - a delay/disruption management system - was implemented today by Siemens on a South African project. The implementation of Contract Communicator is the third step of a 4-step risk mitigation process developed by Contract Communicator in conjunction with Tiefenthaler Consulting.

The Contract Communicator system was customized for use with the NEC and to cater for the specific requirements and nature of this particular project. At its core is a risk event management system which identifies, communicates and manages potentially loss-making events which occur on- and offsite. In its NEC specific configuration Contract Communicator features a compensation event determination facility which guides users through the process of complying with clauses 60 to 65 of the NEC contract thereby ensuring parties act appropriately within the allowed timeframes.

As a world first in contract management Siemens aims to reduce costs spent on litigation and come to amiable agreements with other contracting parties as an when issues arise through adoption of the Contract Communicator system.
